Get Earth Friendly with your paint

We are all increasingly aware of the need to help protect the environment today, and there’s plenty you can do when it comes to paint and home decorating. There’s recycled lining paper and FSC wallpaper, to name but a few environmentally friendly home décor products already on the market,  and you can now buy paint that’s environmentally friendly from a number of leading paint suppliers. In today’s article we have a look at one brand of environmentally friendly paint, Earth Friendly Paint, and look at how to use it to achieve the latest trends.

Earth Friendly Paint

Designer paint brand Earth Friendly Paint’s products are produced with materials that impact on the environment much less than ordinary paints. The paint is classified as recycled and contains a high solid content, making decorating easy. It offers excellent coverage so it’s ideal to use throughout your home, and it’s also fast drying. Earth Friendly Paint emits a low odour compared to the harsh smell of standard paint, so it’s better for you as well as the environment.

Earth Friendly Paint’s are available in a range of finishes. Matte will give you a flat look, vinyl silk will give a more glossy finish and eggshell will result in something between the two. It’s available in twenty two different shades and is suitable to be used as trade paint.

The Latest Paint Trends

The feature wall is the latest trend in interior design. It means having one wall in a room covered in a bold, eye-catching patterned wallpaper in one of this season’s hot colour combinations, like bright blue and mushroom brown or orange and misty grey. The look is completed by having the other walls painted a flat, matte colour in one of the shades featured in the wallpaper. The wide range of shades available from Earth Friendly is great for getting this look. Their Sky Blue shade is a bright blue that is right on trend and looks great when paired with a bold brown or bright fuchsia pink or lemon yellow. If you’d prefer to go with the grey and orange colour scheme, the Heritage Ivory shade is really good at brightening up a room and looks especially good teamed with eye catching floral wallpaper.

If you’re not convinced by heavily patterned designs, you can also create a feature wall using an instance shade, such as Earth Friendly’s Chilli Red Emulsion and contrast it with a subtle shade such as Velvet Cream or Magnolia. And be sure to take a look at the other irresistible shades available from Earth Friendly.
